I traded in a real dinosour with many elctrical problems ( very old honda accord) to buy this one. It's a little difficult to grasp all the features... But what should be simple after I got home today (first day of ownership_ is that the ACC light stays on plus the light next to it... If your'e an owner you know that ACC does NOT stand for air conditioning functions... BUT it stays on with the LC light even if I turn the air conditioning off. My question is there a simple way to turn off both these gree lights? Yes, I have done some Honda reading, but don't find a simple answer.. HATE to go back to the dealer.. (The young girl salesperson isn't all that knowledgeable)
Tks.

I drove an accord ages ago.

I remember when a light came on, i was told that only the dealer/mechanic could turn the car off.

I would go to the dealership and go to the maintenance dept

My accord was "ole faithful"

The only thing I would be concerned about is whether the car will pass state inspection if the light is on.

Also, if it bothers you, I would strongly suggest you go to an independent auto repair shop rather than a Honda dealer that through

personal experience will totally rip you off with their insulting hourly labor charge!!

Thanks savage! After a long research on the Honda guides. These (very small) light can be turned off by the owner by following the directions on the info screens.... It's not recomended they be turned off for safety features. The acc light is adaptive cruise control and you can set it as to how many car lengths you want to to be behind a car when driving ..it's tied in with LK...which is a saftey control if you swerve out of your lane a yellow light briefly cones on to warm you...Drivers fall asleep and that features is followed by a cup of coffee light.. Too funny even for an old fart like me..But I can tell you my 6 month insurance price DROPPED over old honda , BECAUSE I was told, due to the safty features. Car drives and rides like a dream.

Today was a REAL eye opener. I got my insurance card to place in the vehicle from Geico...While I am cleaning out the glove compartment..I find papers that in Sept 2019, this car was into an autoglass dealer for windshield replacement and the bill was sent to the dealer where I bought the car... My heart starts to race (no carfax reports of damage)....So for the first time, I start to REALLY examine the car...Tires , they all looked perfect when I bought with quick exam...I get down on my knees to read the shiny numbers and all but 1 tire is a Hancock tire... I go to the dealer and can tell they are not concerned.. (In Virginia if you drive the car off the lot--not a test drive; IT'S yours)... Finally a different salesperson looks up the auto glass replacement...I find out this was done by the 1st owner that had a crack they showed me the report from the VIN...However it was only a single crack and the dealer can ONLY order the auto glass, They don't do replacements.. It was a single crack, so I guess not a problem there. As for the tire being a different manufacurer, there was NO ANSWER...as long as the tire is the "same" as to requirements...It could have been ANYTHING, from the owner just running over a nail to whatever...NO answer there for me. I told them it's kinda rare for someone to replace ONE TIRE, but I must be old fashioned... There was no answer.. So folks, get down on your knees to examine all tires. I could never see any difference walking around and looking..They best hope I have no tire issue for a long time or I will BLAST this "family owned" dealership to the limits of free speach online!

Is there any kind of legal recourse you could pursue here and/or as I suspect, based on the laws of your state, only a matter about

which you can complain?

The thing is this: anything can happen in any situation. I don't want to get rid of the car, so that leaves me in a pickle somewhat. What exactly is my complaint. One issue legally allways leads to another generally..I'm using vague terms, because that's what it is and so is the law again in "some" cases.
I will probably just ask Honda since they are the REAL BIG brother here with a small mileage car. They give 36,000 miles warranty to the ORIGINAL owner only, then there are all sorts of twists and turns. That's the world we live in. I needed a car and would have bought a brand new Honda, but not going to order one and so through that possible ordeal. I made a choice to act on a low mileage one owner car, trusted the car fax and time will tell. I hope to live to see the day AGAIN where NEW cars are ON THE LOT...When will that be???
